Quick Commands

There are several Quick Commands available on your smartpen. Following is a list of Quick Commands.

Quick Command Description You can...
audio Displays the current audio settings on your smartpen, including Audio Compression, Microphone sensitivity, and Playback latency. (no action)

Audio Compression Displays the current Audio Compression. Tap up or down to access a different compression and then tap right to select.

battery Displays an icon illustrating the current battery level. (no action)
calc Launches the simple calculation app. Write a simple math problem—addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. Then write = (the equals sign) to display the answer on the smartpen screen.

date Displays the smartpen date. (no action)
Date Format Accesses the Date Format menu. Tap up or down to access a different date format. Tap right to select.

paper replay Launches Paper Replay and displays the Record new session command. Tap right to record a new session.

play Launches Paper Replay and displays a list of available sessions to play back. Tap up or down to see each session. Tap right to play back the session displayed on the smartpen screen.

Playback latency Displays whether Playback latency is on or off. Tap up or down to access the opposite status. Tap right to select.

Scroll speed Displays the current speed for horizontal scrolling on the smartpen screen. Tap up or down to access a different speed. Tap right to select.

Shortcut Buttons Accesses the Shortcut Buttons menu, where you can assign apps or commands to the Home button and the Shortcut Buttons labeled 1, 2, 3 at the top of the Livescribe Starter Notebook and other Livescribe Dot Paper products. Tap up or down to access assignment for Home or the 1,2,3 Shortcut Buttons. Tap right to assign the item.

Smartpen name Displays the name for your smartpen that you specified during smartpen setup. (no action)
Stock Quote Lookup Launches the Stock Quote Lookup app. Write a stock symbol.
storage Displays the available storage on the smartpen in MB. (no action)

time Displays the smartpen time. (no action)
Time format Displays the Time Format menu. Tap up or down to access the other clock format. Tap right to select.

version Displays the version information for your smartpen, including software version and Pen ID. (no action)
wifi Displays the WiFi Settings menu. Tap right to select the Find Networks command. or tap up or down to access other commands on the WiFi Settings menu.
