Shortcut Buttons

Shortcut buttons appear on Livescribe Dot Paper, such as the Livescribe Starter Notebook. They are labeled with successive numbers: 1, 2, 3.

Assign an app or Quick Command to a Shortcut button. The default assignment for Shortcut Button 1 is Sync Now. For more information about Quick Commands, see Quick Commands.

1. Double-tap the center of the Menu button. Then tap down to Settings and tap right to select.
2. Tap down to Shortcut Buttons and tap right to select.
3. Tap down to display Assign Shortcut 2 and tap right to select.
   Important: Do not re-assign Shortcut Button 1. If you do, the Sync Now functionality cannot be restored to the button.

   The smartpen screen prompts you to write an app name or a Quick Command.

4. Write an app name or Quick Command and tap twice on any area of Livescribe Dot Paper without buttons or writing. Or simply wait a second or two, and Shortcut button will be assigned.
5. Tap back and then tap down to access Assign Shortcut 3, if desired. Repeat the steps for assigning a Shortcut button.
