Sharing Whole Notebooks

In Evernote, you can share a whole smartpen notebook with other Evernote users.

If you share with individuals, they receive an email with a link to your notebook. Only these individuals can log in and gain full access to your notebook--including the ability to sync to it for new content as you update your notebook. For more information, see Evernote's online help.

  1. Click the Shared tab above the notebooks list.
  2. Click Shared Notebook.
  3. Click Manage Sharing.
  4. Under Notebook Sharing, click the Start Sharing link next to the notebook you wish to share.
  5. Click Invite Individuals.
  6. In the Share with Individuals pane:
    1. Enter one or more email addresses of people you wish to view and sync with your notebook.
    2. Select or deselect Allow preview without logging in.
      Note: If you select this option, your recipients will be able to preview the notebook without logging in. If unauthorized persons obtain the link, they too can preview your notebook. For full access to your notebook, however, a person must log in to Evernote and be on the notebook's invited list.
    3. Enter a message for the email body.
    4. Click Invite.
Tip: After clicking the Start Sharing link, you can click Create a Public Link. Evernote creates a public link, which allows any Evernote user with the link to sync with your notebook and see your modifications. Notebooks shared by public link are visible to search engines such as Google and can appear in a list of search results.
