Sharing a Note with a Sharing URL

You can share a page note or session note by generating a Sharing URL in Evernote.

The Sharing URL is a long URL that looks something like this: http://www.evernote.com/shard/s57/sh/ab25c29c-faee-4f45-9f52-33c1d6a36e96/94495202d770cba6306929b02000bd9f

Evernote generates the Sharing URL and copies it to your computer's clipboard. You can then paste the Sharing URL in other locations such as a blog, forum post, or email. The recipient clicks the Sharing URL to display a web page containing the note. Clicking the note in the web page launches Livescribe Player and plays back the pencast.

The recipient does not need an Evernote account to play back the pencast.

  1. With the note selected, click on the Sharing menu and choose the option to share a link. In some of the Evernote apps, the option is referred to as a Share URL.

Evernote copies the Sharing URL to the computer's clipboard.

  2. You can paste the URL into any document, such an email, an instant message, or a blog.

Anyone with the link can click it to view your note in a web browser. From the browser view, the recipient can click the page image to play the pencast with its audio in the Livescribe Player.
