Setting the Smartpen Auto-Off Time

By default, your smartpen powers off automatically when it is not used for an hour. This is the Auto-off feature.

The smartpen will not power off automatically while you are recording audio or playing back audio, even if you have not touched the smartpen for some time.

You can set the Auto-Off feature. The smartpen will wait the amount of time specified before powering off . You can set Auto-Off time to 30 minutes, 1 hour (the default), 2 hours, and 4 hours.

  1. Double-tap the center of the Menu button. Then tap down to Settings and tap right to select.
  2. Tap down to Auto-off time and tap right to select.

    The option currently in effect displays. If you like that option, tap left to return to the list of settings.

  3. Tap up or down to access the other options. Tap right to select an option.

    The Auto-off time setting persists until you change it or the smartpen is completely reset.
