Simply write down your letter guesses one at a time and see if you’re right or wrong instantly on the smartpen’s OLED display. Guess wrong and a part of the stickman figure is drawn. Guess right and you’ll be one step closer to solving the word puzzle.

I had the same problem with identifying letters. Solved it by writing them in cursive--it seems to recognize them better that way. Hope this helps.

All though I enjoy playing the game the following improvements could be made. 1. Better character recognition. I find i,l,k difficult for it to recognise. 2. Rather than writing out each letter every game. Why not just write them once then just tap them for each guess. This would stop unnecessary paper usage. I can have a dedicated hangman section per book and it would fix issue 1. 3. I cannot seem to choose categories only see which is being used.

Struggles with character recognition, sees a B as Z, only recognises e not E. Cannot change category - both the Category Button and the Difficulty Button change the difficulty. No clear way of starting a second game. The first apps made available should work perfectly - more often than not they will be the ones used to convince (or discourage) further purchases of Livescribe Apps. In this case, as my first taste of an Livescribe App, for the same price (or cheaper) I can get a killer app for the iPhone that works properly.

If you consider that this one has 5 times as many words as any of the other Hangman apps, the price is amazing.
