Localization QA Engineer: Contract Position
We are looking for several localization QA engineers with the following language skills: French, German, Italian or Spanish.
Role and Responsibilities:
Localization QA Engineer will perform testing on the localized System (Pulse Pen/LD Win/Mac/Web) to ensure the quality standard is met. This is a temporary, three months contracting position.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Minimum two years of software localization QA/engineering experience
- BS in computer science or equivalent
- Fluency in English and at least one of the target languages (French/Italian/German/Spanish)
Skill and Technical Requirements:
- Ability to document technical issues, testing processes, and test plans
- In–depth knowledge of Windows/Mac/Web testing
- Ability troubleshoot user problems
- Strong communication skills and excellent follow–through
- Flexible and positive attitude

Production Planner & Buyer
Livescribe, Inc. is a privately held, venture-funded trailblazer in a new, low–cost mobile computing platform: the Pulse smartpen. The Pulse smartpen revolutionizes the act of writing by recording and linking audio to handwriting, so users never miss a word. Pulse enhances productivity, learning, communication and self expression for anyone that uses pen and paper.
Reporting to Livescribe's Vice President of Supply Chain and Logistics, the Production Planner and Buyer will be a major contributor to the Sales and Operational Planning process, ensuring that production schedules are met, costs are contained and appropriate levels of inventory are maintained for optimum cash flow.
We are seeking an energetic, and hard–working individual who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operations department within a dynamic company. Livescribe is conveniently located in Oakland on 880, 10 minutes north of the 880/ San Mateo Bridge junction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Help lead and drive the internal S&OP (Sales & Operational Planning) process
- Develop, communicate and execute the manufacturing schedule per the output of the monthly S&OP process
- Review and analyze sales forecast, on hand inventory and sales demand for all products
- Manage weekly and monthly production plans in a timely, cost efficient manner with minimum inventory exposure
- Monitor costs and schedule compliance of contract manufacturers
- Manage the development and launch of new products, taking into account the full marketing mix
- Create daily, weekly, and monthly analytics and reporting to support business needs for better information in decision making
Requirements:
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines
- High–level of comfort in working with numbers and spreadsheets
- Excellent analytical and problem–solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- The ideal candidate must also be able to identify and execute improvement opportunities through both process improvements and system improvements
- Strong understanding of supply chain systems, practices, process, and procedures
- At least 8+ years of progressive experience in a purchasing & product planning role
- APICS certification
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Computer Science or related field
