Syncing to Evernote: Your Options

You can sync your smartpen notes and audio to Evernote in different ways.

When syncing with Evernote, make sure you are connected to the internet.

Note: A WiFi network is a Favorite if your smartpen has connected to it in the past and the password has not changed. When you turn on your smartpen, it automatically connects to the first in-range network on the Favorites list. See Connecting to a WiFi Network and Connecting Using the Favorites List.

Sync by doing one of the following:

Tap the Stop button to stop any audio that is recording. Syncing begins if your smartpen is connected to a WiFi network.
Turn on your smartpen when you are in range of one or more WiFi networks.
The smartpen automatically connects to the first in-range network on the Favorites list. Unsynced notes and audio begin syncing.
If the WiFi radio is off, turn it on.
The smartpen automatically connects to the first in-range network on the Favorites list. You can connect to a different WiFi network, if you like. Unsynced notes and audio begin syncing.
Open the inside front cover of your Livescribe Starter Notebook or locate a WiFi sticker. Tap the Sync Now button.
Notes that you wrote without recording audio begin syncing. Unsynced notes with audio will also begin syncing.
In the upper corner of the Livescribe Starter Notebook, tap Shortcut Button 1. Many other Livescribe notebooks also have Shortcut Button 1, which you can tap to begin syncing.

If you cannot establish a WiFi connection with your smartpen

You can sync with Evernote even in locations where WiFi is intermittent or nonexistent. Make sure your computer has an active internet connection. Launch Livescribe Helper on your computer, and then connect the Micro-USB cable to your smartpen and your computer. Use Livescribe Helper to start syncing data to Evernote through your computer's internet connection. For more information, see Syncing via Livescribe Helper.
