Assigning Commands to Home Button Double-Tap

By default, single-tapping and double-tapping on the Home button do the same thing. However, you can assign different functionality to double-tapping.

You can assign any open paper smartpen app (apps that do not require paper buttons) or Quick Command. For instance, if you do a lot of calculations, you could assign the Calc Quick Command to launch with a double-tap on the Home button.

  1. Double-tap the center of the Menu button. Then tap down to Settings and tap right to select.
  2. Tap down to Shortcut Buttons and tap right to select.
  3. Tap right to select Assign Home double tap.

    The smartpen screen prompts you to write an app name or a Quick Command.

  4. Write an app name or Quick Command and tap twice on any unwritten area of Livescribe Dot Paper, or simply wait a second or two.
    Important: Do not double-tap the center of the Menu button.
