If you need to solve a basic match calculation, you can use the Quick Calc on your Pulse smartpen. Quick Calc  allows you to write out a basic math calculation and get the answer on your smartpen display.

Here’s how to use Quick Calc:

Step 1:
Double-tap the center of a Nav Plus (you can also draw one).

Step 2:
Within 5 seconds, write the letter “c” on Livescribe dot paper. (You can also write out “calc.”)

Step 3:
Write a basic math problem. To solve, write the equal sign.

Step 4:
Your Pulse smartpen will display the answer. To solve another math problem, just tap on the letter “c.”
