  • In two weeks Orlando, Florida will explode with educators. For four days the talk will be curriculum, educational technology, assessment, mobile learning and more as FETC takes over the Orange County Convention Center. Livescribe is happy to be one of the many participating in this national conference. FETC brings education leaders and technology experts like Bill Schulte together to explore technology integration across a variety of curriculums.

  • Livescribe made its debut appearance at BETT in London this week. If you haven’t heard of it, BETT is the world’s leading event for educational technology where educators can evaluate aa range of products and services from elementary to university level.

The Livescribe team showed hundreds of teachers and administrators from around the globe how a smartpen works, as well as shared dozens of ideas for how it can be used as an instructional tool.

  • In the sprit of the New Year why not begin a new semester with a fresh start? Consider flipping your classroom, a model in which homework becomes lesson time and class time is saved for hands on learning.  Educators using the smartpen enable at home or after hours lesson time by using pencasts for instruction, something students can watch as many times as necessary to grasp the concepts. Home lessons give students control over their own learning.

  • We’ve partnered with Digital Wish, an online donation registry where teachers register to get the technology needed for their classrooms, to provide educators a 10 percent discount on our 4GB Echo smartpen education bundles, which includes everything you need to immediately begin using the smartpen in your classroom.

Through Digital Wish, educators can purchase the 4GB Echo smartpen bundle at the  price of $149.95. Each purchase will also include a notebook, USB connector cable, two ink cartridges, K-12 Deployment Guide, and MyScript Software,* a handwriting to text transcription application.

  • Late last year we announced Livescribe’s integration with Evernote, which let you sync all of your handwritten notes to Evernote. With Livescribe’s Connect features, integration between Livescribe and Evernote is more powerful than ever before.

As part of the new Livescribe Connect setup process, you’ll be able to select Evernote as a Connector and sign into your account. Once connected, you can drag notes onto the Evernote icon in the Connect section of the Livescribe Desktop software, as well as do some other neat things. Keep reading to find out what’s new:
