At the end of last month, Evernote hosted their Creating Portfolios workshop, which proved to be a great opportunity for educators to learn how to use cloud technologies in their classroom. The half day workshop focused on instructing educators how to help students record their work and save it to their online portfolios.
Janet Sankar did a live demonstration on how to utilize Livecribe smartpens in capturing notes into student portfolios. Janet demonstrated how to save pencasts and upload them to Evernote, highlighting how notes can be easily accessed and searched once uploaded to the cloud. She showed that once uploaded, pencasts can be shared via email, Google Docs, Facebook, Evernote, Microsoft OneNote, Google Sites, or even iOS devices.
The workshop was a great example of how the latest technology can be utilized in the classroom to help make learning more interactive. Read an in-depth recap of the workshop by Goutama Bachtiar on TechWire.
