Default error installing livescribe desktop

I can't install the desktop, thus I can't use the pen

I got this message while running the installer:

>SetupNew\setup.cpp (140)
PAPP:
PVENDOR:
PGUID:
$
@windows XP Service Pack 3 (2600)
IE Version 7.0.5730.11

I saw another thread with an installation error but I am not in that case (i.e. I fully downloaded the installer).
Any help?

All,

This is a Windows InstallShield error that should be resolved by downloading and saving (not running from the website) our Livescribe Desktop installer file to your computer and attempting to run the installer application once more.

Please try that and let us know if you still have issues.

Incidentally, this solution is provided in our knowledge base here:

Knowledgebase > Windows Livescribe Desktop > Troubleshooting > After downloading and running 'LivescribeDesktop_Install.exe' on Windows I get an error: >SetupNew\setup.cpp (135)

Thanks,
Jason
